Recently I’ve been feeling compelled to reorganize and clean up my office. Working in an office space in my home has been a blessing (while still raising our three boys), yet it also lends to having stuff put in there when we don’t have another place for it, as well as papers piled around from being pulled away from my desk to drive the kids to or from somewhere, run an errand, etc., to need to get back to later.
I have tried numerous times to get my office space organized, but I always get just so far with it, and then life or work takes priority.
This time it feels different. I feel that I MUST see it through to completion this time. What started out as wanting to tidy up, file papers, and move a few things around has turned into changing almost every cabinet, shelf, and surface!
I had taken a break one afternoon and was lounging under a tree, looking up at the beautiful blue sky. Suddenly I got this flash image of my bookshelves, and they were tidy and had color and beauty within then. Not just a whole bunch of messy-looking books like they’ve always been. This made sense to me because I’ve been so drawn to art recently (as I’ve shared in my newsletters) and needing to bring more beauty and joy into my work life.
In Feng Shui, the focus is very energetic in nature. You can look at the metaphors. What’s fascinating is when I look at the deeper meaning and the energetic aspect of decluttering and beautifying my office, it’s a metaphor for my business. No longer do I want the stifling, chaotic energy around me when I work. I want ease and grace, and uncluttered beauty and color. I’m ready for this in my business. I’m ready to bust through the “only getting just so far” with my business. (With the milestone of my twins getting their driver’s licenses and us ready to get them a car, it highlights the increased freedom I’ll be receiving to allow more time and space for me and my business.)
When we do clutter clearing, we release the stuck energy. We open up space for new wonderful things come to us, since there is now room for them. We let go of the old and say “yes!” to the new.
I decided I would let go of some of my (zillions of) books. But I kept hitting up against the thought of “I’m throwing away all this money that I spent on these books, and some I haven’t even read yet!” Then the other morning, my angels whispered in my ear and encouraged me to have a different mindset about it. So, instead I chose to think of it and set the intention that every book that I let go of (so that someone else could be blessed by that book) I am opening the energetic space for $1000 to flow to me. Woo-hoo! I like the sound of that When I went back to going through my books, in five minutes’ time I let go of twelve books quite easily. I had just opened myself to bringing in $12,000 with that action step and intention! And if you could see how many books I’ve now gathered to be given away ~ ha! I’ve just opened myself to a ton of income!
(Bags and boxes and stacks of books!)
My bookshelves now have beautiful decorative boxes that hold things like my Sacred Ceremony objects (candles, crystals, little statues of angels and faeries), art supplies, etc. My bookshelves are now colorful and beautiful and hold statues of angels, faeries, and ascended masters. They now feel like they are my altar, blessing my business and blessing me.
The project is not complete yet, but I’m feeling I can have it finished by the end of the week. That just so happens to be the time of the Full Moon ~ the time that holds the powerful energy of release and completion. I realized that I had felt the urge to start this project at the time of the New Moon ~ starting new things; seeding intentions. Isn’t it amazing how Spirit and the Universe work with us to achieve what our Soul desires? It also came to my attention that astrologically, the planets were aligning to support this as well! Where the New Moon and the Full Moon are in my chart this month relate to “how I use my resources for the good of all; the fruits of my labor; my leadership skills and potential; my gifts/talents/abilities; and my vocation/Life Calling” as well as “home and family; roots; how I nurture myself/others; psychological and physical home; and my comfort zone”. Isn’t this so right on to the office project’s physical and energetic purpose?
I am so thankful to Spirit and my angels for always guiding me, and to my Inner Wise One for listening! I plan to finish off the project with a Sacred Ceremony to bless this “new” space, to set my intentions, and to honor what this office space represents.
So…I invite you to look at which areas of your life you are feeling a little stuck. Or feeling chaotic.
Or like me, are you ready to let your Soul-centered business step up to the next level?
Perhaps some space clearing and beautifying is something you’ll feel drawn to. Or perhaps it’s some other tool in your toolbox. But I encourage you to take even one small action step to get the energy moving in the direction of your desired outcome. It could be something symbolic. It could be whispering your intention to your angels, or it may be stomping your foot and letting the Universe know you’re ready for something better. It could be Sacred Ceremony. Whatever is right for you in this moment.
I’d love to hear from you about what you’re feeling inspired to do!
Enjoy!
