I have found that animals and birds bring me a lot of joy. Some are majestic, some are powerful, some are adorable. And to see little baby animals and birds just really makes me happy!
Every once in a while, we’ll see wild turkeys in our neighborhood. There are wild bunnies in the park down the street. And a few years ago, we started seeing quail in the neighborhood.
A few weeks ago, I saw a Mama and Papa quail with their little fuzzy babies next door. Oh, they were so adorable! I tried to get a picture of them, but they kept scurrying under bushes. Drag!
A few days later, I was driving down the street and saw the little family walking along the curb. I stopped in the middle of the street and took a couple pictures. It was so cute…the Mom and Dad hopped up onto the sidewalk and then realized that the babies couldn’t hop up that high. (In this picture, Mama looks like she’s saying “Hey, what are you guys doing down there still?” 
So, she hopped back down and walked with the little ones while Papa walked on the sidewalk.
Then about a week ago, I looked out my patio door and saw the family of quail in my patio! In about two weeks’ time they had grown at least an inch.
I was SO excited! They crossed right in front of the door. Seeing these little guys up so close just made my heart swell.
When they were hanging out in another part of the backyard, I noticed a baby bunny hanging out with them! I was in “baby animal and bird heaven”! The little bunny hopped around the yard for a while, just exploring. I got a picture of him, but had to zoom in, so it’s a bit blurry.
Some days you just get little gifts delivered to you! Thank you, Spirit, for brightening my day!
